Abstract

The two plates (2, 3) which are rectangular, are opened and closed by a pair of handles (4, 5). At least one of the plates is perforated (6) so that a flow of hot air from a hand held hair dryer (7) can be directed on to the hair. At least one of the plates has bristles (8) to comb the lock of hair. The plates are made of heat resistant plastic which is lined with sheet metal (9, 10) preferably aluminium which can be separated from the plates by an air gap (11).
