Abstract

The helmet consists of a hollow shell with an opening opposite the eyes into which the vizor is fitted. There are two slide bars fitted all round the helmet on each side of the opening. Some plates of different colours (5, 6, 7) are mounted on these slides to form the vizor, so that the plate which is required can be selected by sliding it in front of the opening. One of the plates can be clear while the others can be coloured for use in foggy or sunny weather, the colours used preferably giving yellow and maroon tints.
