Abstract

The appliance has a cylindrical scraper (5), which contacts the belt (9) behind the discharge point (8), with a section of one of its open sides. The cylindrical scraper rotates about its shaft (50). In the case of conveyors with belts, turned through (180 deg.) the scraper is positioned directly behind the turning point, so that part of it projects outwards. The scraper engages slightly slanting on the belt, so that it contacts the beld edge with only part of its side, thereby effecting its rotary movement.
