Abstract

A plant installation for mixing together several liquids or >=1 liquid with >=1 solid matl. is claimed. These ingredients are supplied to the mixing plant in constant proportions according to a selected program, being delivered onto a chute surmounting and discharging into a vertical, cylindrical mixing tank from which the mix is recycled back to the chute by a pump which also discharges fully-processed mix from a branch on the recycling line, the level of ingredients in the tank being automatically controlled and the discharge of processed mix being automatically stopped if the supply of ingredients fails. The chute pref. discharges ingredients more or less tangentially at the periphery of the tank. The installation is used for mixing liquids together and or with solids, partic, to produce cattle feed. The mix is produced entirely automatically, is fully homogenised and the plant stops if theree is a fault in the process.
