Abstract

Wettable powders contg. benzimidazolecarbamates of formula (I): (where R = 1-4C alkyl) as well as the customary sticking-, wetting-, dispersing agents and opt. milling aids, also contain liq.- or low-melting penetrating agents adsorbed onto carrier in a ratio of penetrating agent/active cpd. = pref. 10:100 to 30:100. Penetrating agents may be straight-chain alcohols (6-18C), liq. esters esp. phthalic acid diisoctyl ester, ethers (min 7C) liq. triglycerides, alkylformamides (1-4C), lecithin or low-melting waxes or low-melting salts of natural napthenic acids. The powders are used in plant-protection and have better systemic- and curative properties than known powders contg. (I) with less phytotoxicity. They do not flocculate upon dilution.
