Abstract

Power is applied to a regulator circuit in which a load (12) is connected. Power is applied to a capacitor (15) and resistor (16) in series in the regulator circuit. A resistor (17) is connected to their junction (20). A negative temperature coefficient resistor (19) and capacitor (18) are connector in series with this resistor (17) to obtain a short duration ramp voltage for a diac (14) in the trigger circuit (G) of a triac (13) in series with the load. Resistors (81, 82) connected in series between the diac and triac have a capacitor (83) connected from their junction (24) to a diac (84) in order to provide a low operating hysteresis valve.
