Abstract

High-pressure manufactured, assembled profile, particularly for use as an electrical conductor, comprising a metal core, together with a cover layer, preferably of electrolytic copper, where this cover layer is manufactured as a flat strip connected metallurgically with the metal core. The cover layer can be of the 'unplated' type. Two such strips are connected through the metal core in a sandwich-like manner to a plate or rod profile at the edges of which the metal core is visible. Each strip is provided with a slanting lengthways edge which provides a dove-tail shaped engagement in the metal core.
