Abstract

The spark plug has the high tension lead connected to the normal position and is screwed into the cylinder in the normal way. An intake passage (5) is drilled through the hexagonal flange (3) and finishes up next to the plug points. The intake passage is connected to a small carburettor which is supplied with petrol. This yields a zone of petrol in the vicinity of the plug points. The petrol will ignite readily and provide an expanding flame front for the complete combustion of low quality fuels.
