Abstract

A valve has the usual closing part (6) on the end of a rod (7) on a support plate (3) on the body. This plate also supports the automatic control (9) of opening and closing the valve, and this control can be easily removed to return to hand valve operation. The automatic control is a hydraulic ram acting through a knee action mechanism (10 etc.). There are two vertical guide columns with upper and lower plates at their ends with play parallel to the rod movement. The lower plate is solid with the rod and the upper to a fork hinged to a fixed point. The assembly includes spring washers (35) to maintain pressure on the valve itself.
