Abstract

A photograph frame has 'U' sectioned edging (15) which can be simply and speedily dismantled for photograph change. The edge frame confines the conventional back plate (11), photograph (P) and protective glass (12) sandwich, and at least two edge frame members are used on opposed sides, with one fixed to the back plate (11) and the other held in place via coil springs (29) attached to an anchorage (31) on the back plate. To dismantle, the latter member (15) is removed by pulling against the coil springs (29) and the glass (12) and photograph (P) are free to slide from the other member and vice versa. Two adjacent frame sides can be fixed, with the other two free to move under similar spring loading. Hanging hooks (32) on the back plate are arranged so that the weight of the glass is carried by the fixed frame members.
