Abstract

A bearing seal has two parts, made from a flexible plastics. The outer ring (1) has its outside diameter equal to that of the housing, for sealing. It has two inner diameters, forming a rearward facing annular step with two annular rings of flexible lips. The inner ring (2) has its inner diameter sealing on the shaft, a double outer diameter forming an annular step with two annular rings of flexible lips. Positioning is maintained by two formed rings fitting in grooves. The flexible lips fit between each other, their tips contacting, and running in annular grooves. The space between is filled with grease.
