Abstract

The equipment maintains single reading memories in data processing units, each memory consisting of elementary modules containing pre-recorded binary data. The maintenance equipment has means of reintroducing, into a blank module, the information contained in the defective module before breakdown occurs. The means of reintroduction is connected to the processing unit via breakdown detection means situated in one of the module assemblies and has a support and a recording reader connected to the processing unit. The recording support contains data that each module must contain. The means compares the data in the new module with reference data carried in the support recording.
