Abstract

Protective helmet, partic. for sports, comprises a double wall (1,2) into which is injected a flexible elastic material (3), and a lining (4) consisting of a partially compartmental air chamber filled with fluid under pressure or flexible foam and enclosed with a sheath of leather etc. MATERIALS The double wall is pref. made of moulded plastics material, e.g. polyester resin, epoxy resin, etc., and has holes for injecting the filling material and cutaways for the visor, earpieces, etc. The filling material is pref. expanded polyurethane.
