Abstract

The strap (1) is formed into a loop whose free extremities are fixed to a metallic plate (3) by a rivet (2). The plate is inserted in a lateral groove (5) in the ski stick handle (6). A socket (11), closed at the top, is screwed into a tapped hole (10) in the top of the handle. At the base of the socket a ball (12) is held in a recess (4) in the top of the plate (3) by a spring (13). When the pull on the strap exceeds a critical value the plate comes out of the groove by pushing up the ball and compressing the spring.
