Abstract

The manual selector for a control box comprises a lever (1) articulated at its extremities to a knee-joint (5) with an axle (2) at right angles to the support tube. The control lever carries at its lower extremity two profiled pawls (15, 16) symmetrically disposed, which may be engaged to rotate a toothed wheel (11) to produce step-by-step increases in the electrical contact connections for the vehicle. In total, four lever positions may be adopted, M (increasing forward speed), D (decreasing forward speed), B (neutral) and AR (reverse). The toothed wheel is attached to a cam segment (27) which connects with a rotating drum member on which the electrical contacts are mounted. The electrical circuits work in conjunction with servo-mechanisms.
