Abstract

The craft is made of any buoyant material such as wood or plastic and has a saddle or seat for the crew. The craft has a lower opening with two panels (9) hinged to the float at the front (10). Each hinged panel is joined to a rear flexible panel (15) and supports a foot rest. When a person pivots a panel downwards into the water the associated flexible panel becomes concave upwards and the panel becomes concave downwards when the hinged panel pivots to its upper position. These movements propel the craft and the panels are moved in opposite directions in the manner of pedals.
