Abstract

A rod (4) with an enlarged head (5) slides in an axial hole (3, 6) in a cylindrical body (1) which has one end (2) reduced for clamping by a machine tool mandrel. The enlarged head has a dowel (7), at an angle, passing through a fixed guide plate (9) and a movable cutter blade (8). Both ends are capped (10, 24) and the rod is spring biased (22). The operator moves the blade out to the depth set by a stop (25, 26) on the body by means of knurled ring (19, 20) attached to a pin (15) running transversely through the sliding rod. Downward movement causes the pin to force out the cutter blade. Guides and blades are replaceable.
