Abstract

A tracked vehicle for travelling on snow, particularly for marking out tracks for skiers, with the tracks and chassis designed for minimum height, ensuring maximum stability, has two side by side tracks with a space (11) between which can be employed usefully to house transmission members. Each track consists of an inner track shaped to match the contour of the driving wheels, carrying spaced apart narrow rubber bands, across which are mounted metal bars. The rear wheels of the vehicle are drive wheels, the central wheels are the main load bearing wheels, the front wheel being tensioning and return wheels, inside the tracks. The chassis carries the drive motor as close to the ground as possible.
