Abstract

The construction is designed for use over a range of domestic and public buildings, and constitutes floor, wall and roof panels bolting onto a horizontal and vertical membered steel space frame, i.e. floor and roof frames with intermediate vertical posts. Floor slabs are supported by metal floor frames via weld fixed crowns or on concrete foundation blocks. The posts are of a size dictated by imposed loads and bear on floor and roof frames via welded crowns on opposed ends. The wall panels are of concrete, steel, timber and synthetics. Reinforced glass fibre cappings are used to effect weather seals and sheet metal flashings cover inter-panel joints.
