Abstract

The device comprises a vessel or reservoir (1), carried on the operator's back haversack fashion, incorporating an external flexible collection tube (12) with flared combination suction and scraper head (13), and a suction device on its top. The suction device is a motorised (19) turbine (20) and when in operation it creates a low pressure in the upper part of the reservoir, thus effecting suction of liquid via the head (13) and collection tube (12). An abrupt pressure change as collected air and water enters the reservoir leads to precipitation of suspended water and extraction of dry air. The tube (12), is clamped to a cylindrical boss (11) on the side of the reservoir.
