Abstract

The lubricator body houses a piston sliding in a bore and connected by a rod to a second piston sliding in a further bore. A piston rod extends below the second piston, passing through a slide and terminating in a collar. Air from the compressor enters through a passage through the ports in the slide and into a chamber causing the second piston to rise. The upper piston them pumps oil from the inlet port to three outlets and also through a port to a safety valve which shuts down the engine if the oil pressure is less than the air pressure supplied from a receiver.
