The parent patent described spin dyeing of acrylonitrile (co)polymers with basic dyese, in which the polymer spinning solns. constain these basic dyes, able to be in the form of free dyestuff bases (carbinol- and anhydro-bases) in the form of the dyestuff base. The present patent describes acid-modified acrylonitrile (co)polymer spinning solns. contg. the basic dyes in the form of difficulty water-sol. or water-insol. salts of dyestuff bases contg. >=1 arylamino gp. Completely transparent and speak-free solns. are obtd., obviating any clogging up of the spinnerets. The fibres produced have high fastness to wetting, good rub-fastness and good fastness to heat-fixing, stream, washing and improved light fastness.
