Abstract

The channel section (1) has a series of rectangular slots (7) in the web (2) in which the shelf support bracket may be fitted at the required height. The flanges (3) are provided with outspringing tags (4) formed by cutting the three sides of a rectangle and bending the tag outwards along the fourth side. The channel section (1) is then fitted into a slightly narrower groove in the wall or wooden partition so that the flanges (3) are elastically deformed and the tags (4) bite into the sides of the groove to ensure a secure grip. The tags (4) may be of triangular form and also may be bent through 180 deg. to provide a stronger grip in the groove.
