Abstract
The reinforced concrete panels, for use as permanent shuttering for structures such as retaining walls, contain the reinforcement required in the final member and thus obviate temporary shuttering and steel fixing, and furnish the wall with a factory produced finish. Main reinforcement is provided in the external panel faces, with stirrups etc. extending and projecting internally to provide shear keys; and at panel joints the main reinforcement is extended inwards to be exposed in internal recesses, thus facilitating laps and reinforcement continuity: this latter being finally realised when the internal in situ concrete has been cast and has matured. Transverse tie bars in one penale and plate nuts anchored to the opposite panel fix the panels in their relative positions.
