Abstract

The current collector element is for use in electrolytic cells, electric batteries and accumulators. It consists of a sheet of steel and shaped as a star or maltese cross with radial arms (2, 3, 4, 5). At the centre of the cross, there is a hole (6). Two of the arms (4, 5) of the cross are connected on the outside of the sheet, while the other arms are connected on the inside. The element is welded to extremeties of electrodes with the same polarity. These extremities protrude from the set of electrodes of opposite polarity and separated from the first electrodes by an appropriate insulating separator.
