Abstract

The device has an axially sliding tensioning head which includes a number of individually pivoted clamp elements, which are spring biased apart. By sliding the tensioning head relative to the outer casing, via a screw device mounted on top of the latter, the clamp elements are simultaneously splayed outwards or closed together, to release or grip the periphery of the watch glass. The clamp elements extend in the axial direction of the head and are positioned so as to define an opening corresponding to the peripheral shape of the watch glass.
