Abstract

The concave disc-shaped region in which the rider sits and its frontal extension to which the steerable spar is attached is made from a light material e.g. plastics. The bottom of the seat region has ski-like guide ribs directed parallel to the longitudinal axis of the sledge. The transverse spar can be attached at different points along the extension using any of the holes lying along the longitudinal axis. Ski-like guide ribs are found on the base of each guide runner at the ends of the spar. Relocating the spar along the disc extension enables the same sledge to be used by adults and children. The rider can stand or sit and hand grips are provided on the sides of the seat area.
