Abstract

Alloy has the compsn. 15-40% Mn, up to 15% Zn, pref. 0.5-15%, 0.05-0.25% Ti, balance Cu. The alloy has a m.pt. which varies from 840-870 degrees C. depending on the Zn content, and hazs a uniform structure composed of mainly an alpha phase (solid soln. of Mn in Cu), and alpha manganese (solid soln. of Cu in Mn). Useful for brazing tipped cutting tools.
