Abstract

Piping intended for transporting gaseous fuels is made by extruding a PVC obtd. by polymerising vinyl chloride in presence of a rubbery alpha-olefine (co)polymer; the PVC contains 2.5-15 wt. % of the olefinic polymer. The compsn. has greater shock resistance and greater resistance to cracking under stress in presence of chemicals, e.g. 7-15C branched hydrocarbons, benzene and tetrahydrothiophene, than has PVC.
