Abstract

A television camera base technique is used for professional still picture photography. A television camera is used, with electronics arranged to give only one field scan when the camera is primed, and this scan occurs at a rate dependent on the exposure time required. The information is stored on another tube, there being 1500 lines on the picture. This tube is in turn scanned at a lower rate and the picture is transferred to a video tape. The picture may then be recovered immediately or later from the video tape, to be stored in a further tube, from which it may be repeatedly scanned and displayed on a monitor screen.
