Abstract

Above a sampling conveyor belt are side plated inclined towards each other and equipped with plates enclosing an inlet opening through which some of the material discharged from the main conveyor falls. The test unit has a travel truck, by means of which it is continuously moved to and fro, in and out of range of the discharged material flow. The truck can travel on a track parallel to the axis of the main conveyor end drum. Guide strips can be provided on either side of the sampling belt, also a protective housing enclosing its rotary portion.
