Abstract

The pivoting skylight window (2) has a counterweighted adjustment arm (7), one end of which is hinged (5, 6) about the frame and the other end of which slides in a groove (9) in a guide element (8) on the opening panel. A notched prop (14) pivots on the panel so that one of the notches engages a frame (1) mounted pin (19), thus serving to lock the window panel in various angular stations w.r.t. the frame (1). The compensating arm (7) guide element groove (9) and prop (14) are all of rectangular section with the long side normal to the casing or window plane, the prop being able to be retracted into the groove and provide an un-obstructed view through the window.
