Abstract

The fixed support frame of the rotating roof window has a weight balancing lever whose lower end which is mounted on the fixed frame is bent into form of a spiral spring. This spiral spring is preloaded about a hub fixed in the housing which covers this spring. The lever is made from a flat strip and its lower end is bent to form spiral springs which is held by its inner bent end on the hub on the window frame. This arrangement compensates for the weight of the rotating frame on opening and it facilitates opening.
