Abstract

Heater for dusty bulk basalt powder, for later mixing with asphalt, by indirect heating with entry at the top and ejection at the bottom, has heater plates alternately superposed in decks, with wheels turning over them, with spoke-shaped boundaries. Each heater plate has a segment-shaped cut-out and the superposed sections are offset against the direction of rotation of the wheels. Preferably the boundaries of the wheels are uniformly curved in, or against, the direction of rotation. Space is saved, high throughput is possible, and there are no difficulties with the bearings.
