Abstract

The stabiliser consists basically of a bar (1) fixed on longitudinals (L) forming the towbar assembly (F). There are two leaf or torsion springs (2) on either side. The front ends of these (21) are free to rotate in a U shaped piece mounted on a platform (4) which carries the towing eye/device (5) which is solid with the track. The bars (1) are hinged at their inner ends to a screw jack (11). Their outer ends are connected by chain to the rear ends of the springs (111). The jack is adjustable, varying the spring force as desired.
