Abstract

The process produces documents which cannot, in the interests of security, be photocopied, comprising markings traced on a supporting sheet. On the one hand, the visible face of the substance displaying the markings, and on the other the visible face of the supporting sheet are so constituted as to present to the human eye different and readable aspects. On the other hand if the document is illuminated to an even degree, the light emerging, either transmitted or reflected, remains virtually uniform over the whole surface of the document, which thus cannot be photocopied on conventional machines sensitive to local light differences. The supporting sheets may be in different colours.
