Abstract

The protective top cover can have its central portion removed by tearing to expose contents for display. Made from polythene sheet, the cover (2) has ventilation holes (3) between two lines of perforations (4), one line each side. Permanent folds (5) are heat formed in the sheet, a distance apart equal to the box width (7), and the side strips turned inwards 180 deg. flat against the inner face of the cover. To use, the strips are bent outwards to form flaps (6). The cover is fitted on and the flaps secured in place. Removing the centre portions opens the box, leaving the side strips (2b) for publicity purposes.
