Abstract

The pumps is for handling powdery, pasty and viscous commodities such as crude petroleum, etc., both under vacuum and pressure. It comprises a volumetric housing (6) and two rotors (1, 2) of each with three lobes. Diaphragms can be mounted at the inlet and outlet, and the pump can be equipped with guide and distributor ramps for powdery material. The design ensures complete ejection of all accumulated material, and the turbulence created accelerates transport, while distortion of the diaphragms smooths out fluctuations in the rate of delivery.
