Abstract

The fixing device embodies elongated tapering liaison piece hollowed at opposed ends to house the handle end and the tool haft respectively, the latter being locked demountably in position by an internal U shaped wedge piece. Pref. the haft is a circular cross-sectioned rod formed into a diverging leg U shape, its liaison piece housing being contoured with grooved lateral sides and curved base to provide a snug fit; and similarly the wedge piece is contoured to fit in the internal cavity. Diametrical screws lock the wedge piece and handle in their respective positions and a third central haft rod may fit into the wedge piece.
