Abstract

A hot water boiler has two heat exchanger tubes (2, 3) extending upwards from the heating chamber (1), containing sets of horizontal baffle plates (4 to 9), and then discharging the hot gases into an uppr expansion chamber (10). The outer casing (14) forms a water container which maintains the water in contact with the heating chamber, the vertical tubes and the lower part of the expansion chamber. Inside the expansion chamber (10) is a membrane (11) which automatically controls the discharge of hot gases, and which in combination with the baffle plates, gives an efficient heat exchange.
