Abstract

A portable rowing exerciser for gymnasts, in which the strength of pull can be altered as required. Each foot is placed in a support block (9, 10) having a large area and shaped to fit the soles of the feet to avoid foot strain. Straps (11) hold the feet in position. Joining the blocks is a spacer bar (2) carrying the attachments (3) for the elasticated cords or springs, (4) providing the resistance to pulling. The other ends (8) of the cords are attached to a straight handle (5) having shaped hand grips (6, 7). The strength of pull is altered by varying the number of cords or their elasticity.
