Abstract

Machine to remove sheets, particularly banknotes, from the top of a pile in a magazine, one by one. The machine consists of a motor driven roller which, rotating in one direction, frees the end of the sheet from beneath a retaining clip. Rearward movement of the other end of the sheet is prevented by a weight on top of the pile. The sliding of part of the sheet rotates a cam which operates a switch, reversing the direction of rotation of the rollers. This draws the top sheet from under the weight and pushes it down the exit slot, passing above the retaining clip. The motor and rollers are mounted on a pivoting plate so that the weight of the motor presses the rollers against the top of the pile.
