Abstract

The probe for introduction into the channel to be measured comprises alternate zones, visible and invisible on the X-ray image. These zones can be of the same length, a visible one being situated at the tip. The material of the probe can be invisible on the image, the visible zones being formed by metal coatings deposited by vapourisation or galvanic action. The bar of the probe can be plastic. The use of a tip visible on the X-ray image ensures that the probe has been inserted as far as the end of the tooth root.
