Abstract

The device comprises a rotary hopper, situated in the top of the furnace shaft, whose base is arranged in the top opening of the furnace while its top part is arranged in an air tight chamber mounted on the furnace, the seal being placed between the hopper wall and the furnace opening. The device is used for upright furnaces for calcining, decarbonising etc. of mineral materials, esp. for lime furnaces.
