Abstract

Vehicles with 24V electrical systems usually have 24V lamps. These are, however, much less easily obtained than are 12V lamps. They also have photometric and have other drawbacks. The patent enables 12V lamps to be used to overcome such difficulties and is applicable to European code bulbs H4 and H2, and batteries having a mid point tapping. It consists of a two position switch and two relays each actuated by one switch position. A pair of filaments, in series is connected between a switch terminal and a relay and another pair similarly with the other relay. The mid point of each pair is connected to the mid point of the battery.
