Abstract

The evaporating section may be inside or outside the developing chamber and is in two stages. The second evaporator stage (11) is supplied by the residual liquid from the first stage, to ensure complete evaporation of the liquid. The second stage (11) comprises a chamber receiving the residual liquid () via a siphon tube from the first section (1) comprising an evaporator tower. The first section (1) provides for the separation of the ammonia gases and the water vapour from the aqueous developer solution and is pref. located outside the developing chamber. The solution enters the first section (1) at the top and passes through a rectifying column (5) to a distillation chamber (3).
