Abstract
The drum has perforations in its sides and in the flat bottom plate and the handle for rotating the drum is connected directly to the shaft, which runs through the centre of the drum. The drum is placed inside a main container through the top of which water is poured in. Water is drained through the bottom where dirt tends to deposit. The hole in the bottom is blocked by a plug which accommodates the bottom bearing of the plug. The lid of the main container accommodates the top bearing and the handle. The handle may drive the drum through a step up gearing.
