Abstract

In a process for bonding a part to a solid mass, e.g. a bolt to concrete, by drilling a hole in the mass, placing a thermosetting resin inside the hole and inserting the part which is then secured by hardening the resin, the improvement comprises using a one part resin compsn. which is stable at room temp., the resin being hardened inside the hole by preheating the part to be inserted. The process obviates the use of two part resin compsns. contd. in cartridges these being ruptured by insertion of the part and the resin cured at room temp. by mixing the components. A one-part, stable compsn. is used and it is rapidly cured by heat from the preheated part. Pref. the part is heated by passage through a high frequency induction heater mounted on the framework of the drilling machine.
