Abstract

Thin, flexible pressurised container of thermoplastic material, esp. for gaseous drinks, has an annular side wall section formed under differential pressure, with an upper neck for pouring the drink, and a bottom, formed under differential pressure, which has a concavo-convex lower wall and a continuous peripheral rim forming a double thickness lower wall. A part of this rim has an external of the part of the side wall section internal diameter of the part of the side wall section into which it penetrates, so that it can be inserted by friction. The welding material, situated radially at a distance and axially facing the concavo-convex wall and interposed between the parts of the rim and the side wall section, around the lower wall, adheres strongly to this lower wall at the side wall section. The container resists relatively high internal pressure, and is cheap to mfr. esp. as the wall is relatively thin.
