Abstract
A textile materials is impregnated with a resin contg. a luminescent material (eg. SZn, SCa, SrS) and a transparent material (eg. quartz glass, borosilicate pref. in the form of microspheres or a colloidal suspension) which allows penetration of ultra-violet light to the luminous material and which also allows transmission of the radiation emitted by the luminous material. The transparent material may absorb the ultra-violet light and emit radiation of a different frequency to increase the light energy absorbed.
